Turas Insurance Services, LLC ("Turas," "we," "us") is a surplus lines wholesale insurance broker that places excess auto liability insurance for last-mile delivery fleet operators, working exclusively through licensed insurance agents. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, turasins.com, and in the course of our insurance business, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Our services are offered only in the United States and are intended for businesses and licensed insurance professionals, not for personal or household use.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details, such as name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, and mailing address, when you fill out a form, email us, or call us.
  • Agency information, such as agency name, producer license numbers, and appointment details, if you are an agent working with us.
  • Insurance submission information provided by an agent on behalf of a business applying for coverage. This can include business details (for example, USDOT and MC numbers, operations, and prior insurance and loss history), vehicle details (for example, VINs and garaging locations), and driver details (for example, names, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, and driving history).

Information from other sources

  • Public government records, such as Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration safety and registration data.
  • Motor vehicle records, vehicle data, telematics and safety data, and similar reports from third-party data providers, obtained for insurance underwriting only and only as permitted by law, including the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act.
  • Insurance companies, agents, and other parties involved in placing or servicing a policy.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and general location derived from your IP address. Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to provide us with website analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.

Do Not Track. Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common industry standard for them exists.
